BDS (Bachelor of dental surgery) is an undergraduate medical course under dentistry. It is one of the most reputed courses after MBBS. The duration of the course lasts from 5 years, including the internship period of one year.
The BDS course mainly revolves around several dental procedures related to diseases developing in the oral cavity, as well as for cosmetic purposes. BDS program enrollment can either be through NEET or individual entrance exams taken by colleges.
Four years of full-time course of BDS is similar to MBBS in terms of syllabus of 1st year.
